Question of the Day

I had a whole blog that Blogger ate. So here's the condensed version:

I got a JPeg of my cover for the SUN, SAND, SEX anthology that I hope to post later this week. That book is an anthology with Linda Lael Miller and Shelly Laurenston. SUN SAND SEX will be out June 2007.

In the meantime, I went grocery shopping and while putting cookies in the cookie jar, I had to wonder:

Do broken cookies have calories?

I read something on this years ago:

Something about the body trying to over-compensate for the cookie's phantom "limbs" causes our stomach to work harder.

Eating broken cookies actually *burns* calories. Go figure.

So no, broken cookies do not count toward your total daily caloric intake.

;) d

PS Can't wait to see the new cover!

Someone once told me that broken cookies have no calories as they leak out at the breaks.

I just put Sun, Sand, Sex on my reading list and can't wait to see the new cover.

does the broken cookie LAW count for...well...like...anything yummy broken? You know, smashed peanut butter M&Ms? And if blogger eats a blog (I hate when that happens) shouldn't you get a calorie refund. You know like pass go and don't collect 300 calories?

Looking forward to this next read. When does the Sex on the Beach Book Club come out?

Dana, love your theory!

Dru, that's MY theory! The calories are in the crumbs that are too small to eat :-) I really hope you like Sun, Sand, Sex--uh I mean the book, I wasn't getting personal...

Cele, YES we should get an extra allotment of 300 calories everyone time a blog program eats a blog! That's just brilliant! The Sex on the Beach Book Club comes out Jan 2007. I should be putting this on my blog--man I am BAD at promoting!

Jen, of course there are no calories in broken cookies. Once they've been broken, the calorie spirit leaves and goes to a better place.

and your cover is FABULOUS!

Can't wait to see the cover!!

And Dana's right. You burn more calories eating them, not only because of the extra work of the stomach but also because of the effort it takes to gather the pieces up from the bottom of the bag and shovel them down your throat.

I thought everybody knew that.

Maureen, LOL calorie spirits! Good one!

Kate, not EVERYONE knows that, certain typse of people, we'll call them MEN, don't seem to understand the basic physics of this rule.

Michele, are you doing your Evil Laugh on my blog? Hmmn???? You all have to know Michele was a wicked, but sneaky, sense of humor! She had in laughing so hard I was crying this week. It's too involved of a joke to tell here, but it was funny!
