Botox Tragedy
A couple years ago I researched ways to kill with Botox. It can be done, but it takes either a mistake or maliciousness to do it. So imagine my surprise when I saw this video:

This couple survived but at what cost? I'm all for people doing what makes them feel better. I'm not anti-plastic surgery, or procedures. But I am cautious. Botox is something I wouldn't do because the preparation is derived from a poison. I do like the idea of injecting poison into my face. Plus I don't really like the look--I prefer a real face with expressions. But this couple, they didn't deserve this. What makes me angrier is that the doctor was mixing his own Botox and screwed up. I don't think the couple realized he was doing that.
Sad and tragic. It didn't have to happen. The couple is alive, but who knows how much damage has been done. All by a supposed friend who thought he could cut costs my mixing his own form of Botox.
It's not worth dying for.

That is truly a sad and an undeserving tragedy. Sometimes it's not worth it to play with mother nature.
That is awful. I can't even imagine why someone would risk someone else's life like that. How incredibly sad.
I think in the search to stay young we do incredibly risky things to ourselves. Botox, you've got to be joking, I've even cut back on preservative. Despite preservation claims I've not noted a life time of preservation on my body.
I've pondered this often, we are not taught how to age gracefully, and I've no clue how such lessons would be taught. I am forever in a quandary in what I want to wear, and what I have to wear. Body weight tells me I have to cover more, but what about being bigger and older screams BRIGHT PAISELY POLYESTER?
I refuse. I doubt I will join a red hat society
Dru, very true. But we tend to think we can trust doctors. That's what really ticks me off about this case.
Ktzmom, I agree! How could that doctor be so careless?
Cele, I have thought about it too. My husband and I were just talking this morning about being judgemental. Sometimes we're very judgemental of others, but sometimes were cruelly judgemental of ourselves, and go to extremes that just aren't good for us.
P.S. Cele NO PAISLY POLYESTER!
Oh, God. I'm with you, Jen. Deliberately injecting poison into my face?? No, i think I'll just get my daughter to pose for my publicity picture!!
Maureen, your daughter is beautiful! But so are you--she looks just like you.
