My Cheese

I really like the TV show BLOOD TIES. Does anyone else out there watch it? It's on Sunday nights, on USA or Lifetime. I think it's Lifetime. Anyway...

The show is cheesy. Well I THINK it's cheesy, but I'm not sure what cheesy really means. I remember Jennifer Cruise calling her romance novel BET ME cheesy in a speech she gave at a conference. That really cheesed me off. It's like apologizing for writing romances and Jennifer Crusie has never done that. She's defended the genre admirably.

But I digress. So cheesy, hmm I probably write cheesy books, but given how much I like cheese, maybe that isn't so surprising.

I guess BLOOD TIES might be considered cheesy because it's has a cliche love triangle. Although the two men in the heroine's life are different in that one is alive and one is dead. That keeps things interesting!

So does anyone know what cheesy really means? Does anyone else watch BLOOD TIES? If not, what's your cheese?

So I'm Cheesed off is a new explitive?

I haven't watched Bloodties yet, I don't watch Lifetime a lot but I'd seen previews for it on SciFi.

I havent' watched Blood Ties, but BET ME is my absolute favorite Jennifer Crusie book. I can't believe she would call it cheesy. (Hmph)

My cheese is romantic movies. You know the kind, when Matthew Perry is standing there in front of Selma Hayek's jeep on the Hoover Dam and he says "...and here you are, everything I never knew I always wanted..." I LOVE THAT PART!
(sigh)

Hey Cele, you've never heard that phrase, "cheesed off?" I always thought it was odd.

Ktzmom, see? I'm weird. No one else but me watches the show. I don't know why I'm sucked in (ha! vampire pun! And there's a vamp in the show!) I love romantic movies, although I'm drawn to the dangerously romantic ones. I love woman in trouble story lines.

Hi Maureen :-)

Maureen - it is a great movie. I put it in my DVD player for noise when I'm working on a craft. I pretty much know it by heart so I can look up whenever I want to and know exactly where the movie is at.
