iPod Worthy

Anyone ever see that Seinfeld episode "Sponge Worthy?" You know, when Elaine wanted to make sure a man was worth using one of her precious sponges?

That's how I feel about my iPod! I got a new iPod for my birthday. I love it! Hubby gave me an iTunes gift card for $15.00 to get started. So that means I get to pick about 15 songs.

I've spent HOURS on iTunes trying to decide what songs are iPod worthy.

Then my son gave me a $25.00 gift card.

But I'm STILL AGONIZING! Actually it's a lot of fun and an excellent way to waste away hours and hours of writing time (Umm, if you're my agent or editor, I'm only kidding!)

So I have about 18 songs now. I'm making progress. I totally blew my son away when he looked in my iPod and saw that I had Snow Patrol's CHASING CARS. He just couldn't believe I had anything that cool in my iPod. I cracked up! I told him I was going to go home and put one of his favorite bands, Green Day in there.

A sample of the songs I have so far:
CHASING CARS by Snow Patrol
YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL by James Blunt
HOW TO SAVE A LIFE by The Frey
LAST KISS by Pearl Jam
BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY by Fergie

As you can see, my taste is a little eclectic.

Most embarrassing song so far? THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT by The Tokens. Oh come on! How can anyone listen to that song and not smile?

Biggest worry with my new iPod? Well I listen to it when I walk SOME mornings, then I come in and keep listening while I clean the kitchen, etc. I just KNOW my son is going to get up, and I won't hear him, and he'll catch me dancing around the kitchen singing!

So do you all have an iPod? What songs do you have? Come on, fess up, what's your most embarrassing song in your iPod?

I love my iPod too. You don't want to know how many songs I have on my iPod right now, it's over 2,000. My taste varies but I have oldies like Frankie Valle, Carly Simon, Captain and Tenille, Wham, then I have Billy Joel, Manhattan Transfer, Madonna, Luther Vandross, and plenty of soundtracks.

Right now I'm listening to the soundtrack of Hairspray 2007 version.

Having the Chipmunks Christmas album is probably my most embarrassing music.

Ha ha I love this post. I am Ipodless - hmmm pods - but I do have a cd player and as a DJ shhhh lots of songs available at hand. So I burn a new cd frequently.

But I am looking forward to that video on UTube

Dru, LOL! I love the Chipmunks! I drove my husband nuts listening to that Album every Christmas for years. You have an interesting selection of artists on your iPod.

Cele, you are so lucky to have access to all the music! I am sorry you're podless :-) And no, you REALLY don't want to see that video on UTube!

Happy Monday! I don't have an iPod, but I do have an MP3 player. My taste is varied, I have everything in there. Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Sugarland, Diana Krall, the soundtracks for RENT and Chicago. . . the list goes on.

The most embarassing thing on there. . . I guess it would be the Disney Mania CD that I "borrowed" from my daughter (she doesn't listen to it anymore anyway, I swear). It has "superstars" singing Disney songs. I love it.

ktzmom, Happy Monday to you too! LOL on "borrowing" your duaghter's CD. Many years ago there was a Disney video out that I uaed to put in just to listen to the songs while I was cleaning. We get sucked into those songs.
