Do I Like It? Or Not?
Newest Song Downloaded YOU AND ME by Lifehouse. I am trying new stuff :-)
It's getting closer to the release of EXTREMELY HOT! The release date is November first, so it may hit stores as early as the last week in October. I am really interested in the response on that book. It's one of those books that I just can't judge for myself.
Speaking of books, I just read Karen Marie Moning's DARKFEVER, and I just couldn't decide if I liked it. And yet, I keep thinking about it. She really did some interesting world building that seems to have captured my imagination. I must like if I keep thinking about it right?
Do that ever happen to you? You ever read a book that you aren't sure if you liked it or not?
And of course, I am waiting for JR Ward's LOVER UNBOUND! It's supposed to be out September 25th!

Jennifer, I've *seen* you on "Murder She Writes" and recently found your book THRILLED TO DEATH. I cannot believe that it took me so long to find Samantha Shaw and now I'm kicking myself!! I'm only about 4 chapters into the book, but I already know that this is going to be a winner for me ~ and a new series to collect... just what I need!
'Cause I, too, read Darkfever and am eagerly awaiting LOVER UNBOUND, as well as any (large) number of books from series that I've glommed onto.
As for books that I read, but I'm not sure whether or not I like them? Yep it happens but, for me, if a book sticks with me then its obviously got something that resonates with me. I don't mind being challenged by a book and in that way I ususally end up finding that I've expanded my reading choices and it ends up being a good thing.
Of course, for me, I usually end up either liking the book ~ it's okay, but not a keeper; REALLY liking the book and doing an instant backlist hunt for the author ~ that's been happening more lately because of a reading challenge that I'm participating in; or it bothers me to the extent that I just can't enjoy it... if it's bad enough I can't even finish it ~ doesn't happen often, but when it does it's fairly memorable.
And I've probably babbled on more than enough for one day!
Just wanted to let you know that I am now a BIG fan! And to thank you... Samantha Shaw is magic! (and even though I'm reading the story dealing with magicians, that was totally unplanned!)
Kathy
Hey Kathy, thanks! I'm delighted you are enjoying THRILLED TO DEATH. Loved your "Samantha Shaw is magic" comment!
You're right, the book did resonate with me. It just wasn't what I expected--but that's a good thing sometimes. And it's great that Moning is writing what she really wants too!
Thanks for stopping by!
That has happened to me, in fact I'm reading one right now that I don't like. Will I finish it, I doubt it, but I might read the last chapter for the conclusion.
I'm looking forward to reading your next book. I can't wait.
Hey Dru, I stop reading books I flat out don't like. There's so many other books out there for us to read!
I hope you like EXTREMELY HOT!
