Chatting and News

It appears that B&N has released EXTREMELY HOT, but Amazon hasn't. The book isn't supposed to be released until October 30th, but apparently the book was too hot to hold onto for B&N...LOL!

I just finished reading Kelley Armstrong's INDUSTRIAL MAGIC. Anyone else read any of her books? I liked it. It was one of those books that I put down and picked up a lot, but I wanted to finish the story. I also think part of my reading problem was the unending sinus headaches last week that made my vision blurry. Armstrong builds an interesting world with lots of supernaturals.

Okay, so I'll stop chatting and tell you all my real news (that I also announced over at MurderSheWrites today too): I've sold my paranormal series to Ballantine in a two-book contract! I'm very excited about this. The first book is tentatively titled BLOOD MAGIC. I am so pleased about this, I love this book and am really looking forward to writing the series.

I have so many people to thank for their help and/or support: Laura Wright, Maureen Child, Marianne Donley, my sister Carol Raney, Michele Cwiertney, Natalie (Roberts) Collins, Dana Diamond,. Writing is often so isolating, I don't know what I'd do without my friends!

Woo-hoo, Jen!! (Again) :-)

I'm so thrilled for you and excited about this new series! I LOVE the premise. Can't wait to buy the books.

I don't know what I do without the support of my friends either. Thank you for being there for me, too.

Hey, that's great news about Extremely Hot, especially since I have a coupon from B&N. I'm heading over there right now.

Congratulations to this wonderful news about your two-book deal. I can't wait to hear more about it.

From what I'm hearing and the headaches I've been experiencing lately, this is going to be a bad allergy/sinus season.

Have a good week.

Dru, you're suffering sinus and allergy stuff too? It's not a good sign of things to come.

Thanks so much for the congrats!

Cele, I'm so sorry to hear you were suffering the sinus stuff too! It really was miserable. This week seems better, for me at least, as I can read again.

I do have great friends! I'm very lucky that way. I consider you one of them, Cele!

Oh, and now the witch avatar you bequeathed to me fits since the series is about witches and witch hunters!
