Halloween Hangover
I bought EIGHT BAGS of candy. Yesterday when I put all the candy out in the bowl, I was worried. I could visualize having half a bowl of candy left...and I knew exactly where all that candy would end up.
On my butt and thighs.
But much our surprise, by 7:30 most of the candy was gone!
We had a ton of adorable kids, and some Very Big Kids too! I don't mind the bigger kids (teenagers) because, come on, who can resister getting candy.
Best costume for me was the little girl in green wings, not sure if she was a fairy or butterfly, but she was cute! Hubby liked the two kids in Dale Earnhardt consumes.
I'm just getting to work on my witch hunter book. Right now, I'm still getting back into the book. For some reason, I'm in worrying mode, and it's taken the form of a huge boulder in my stomach. I want this to be the best book ever...
Not to put too much pressure on myself.
I'm trying to just write for a while, see what happens then I'll go back and beat it all into shape. This process is always a struggle for me. I like organization, but my process is anything but organized.
Anyway, that's my life on the work front.
The last three books I've tried to get into reading just haven't done it for me. I hate when that happens! What about you all? Have a good Halloween? Read any good books?

We had way fewer kids this year. so sad. The damn malls are stealing our trick or treaters. Thank heaven, I only bought 3 bags this year!! so only a few KitKats left!
I remember the malls were doing Halloween way back when I actually worked at a mall. Bad memories, LOL! I was surprised how many kids we had. Glad you have a few Kitkats for personal use :-)
No one came to my door. I did see plenty on the streets.
I recently attempted to read this one book by a new-to-me author and I couldn't finish it completely.
I'm finally getting to your book and so far I'm liking it.
Thanks Dru, I really hope my book doesn't disappoint.
I've been having a run of picking up books I just don't love. I even stopped reading a couple.
The kids didn't come to your house because they were all at mine! We didn't decorate or anything, but they all came.
We had 81 trick or treaters this year. I bought umpteen bags of candy and thank heavens only have a little bit left and one sweet toothed hubby.
Jennifer, we can't imagine you not writing a good book.
I just finished One Shot today by Lee Childs (Jake suggested him to me) wow great read. Before that I read some book called Extremely Hot and boy was it.
Cele, thanks!
I'm going to look for ONE SHOT. I've read a couple Lee Childs, but for some reason he's just not an autobuy for me. Lately, I just can't get into anything--could be that I have too much on my mind.
81 kids! That's a lot of candy!
Just finished Extremely Hot and I loved it.
Dru, thank you!
