Once a Cheater????

Man, I am just looking for trouble. Still thinking about painting the boys rooms, and maybe even putting shelf paper in the kitchen cupboards. For a while yesterday, it actually crossed my mind to take the valances in the living room down and wash them.

Someone help me! I conquered this kind of insanity years ago and swore to never relapse.

I am getting a chance to read though, so that's super cool!

Question for you all--do you believe a hero/heroine who has cheated (sexually speaking) be redeemed?

My thoughts: Generally fiction is all about change and redemption, so in fiction, I think it can be done, although it takes a very skilled writer to convince men. In real life? I'm a heck of a lot less forgiving :-)

What about you all?

Managed Husband Care

Two of my sons have moved out. Much of their junk remains...sigh. But anyway that's not my point. Here's a conversation with my husband.

Me. "I want to paint the two bedrooms."

Hubby. "Uh huh, no way, once we start that, we'll end up painting the whole house."

Me. "No, really, I just want to do the two rooms. How do I get that stuff off the walls and get them ready for painting?"

Hubby. "No you're not going to do it. You wouldn't even know what kind of paint to buy."

Me. "I'll buy any kind of paint I want! I'll do it myself."

Bubby with a Big Sigh. "You'll do it wrong then I'll just have to do it over."

Me--Big Smile. "So you'll paint the rooms?"

"God, I hope you get a new contract soon."

LOL! Once I have a book to work on, I'll forget about painting. But in the meantime, if I really really want to do the work, hubby will paint the rooms. But the trade off is that I have to be Gofer for the day or days of painting.

And don't think my husband doesn't "manage" me--he gets me to do all kinds of stuff by being sneaky or--gasp--kind.

Anyone else out there "manage" their spouses?

Drawing at Brava Authors and Other Chit Chat

I'm blogging over at Brava Authors today. If you'd like to get into a drawing for an advance copy (uncorrected proof) of SUN, SAND, SEX Anthology go to my blog here and submit a comment. I'm picking a winner on Saturday morning.

On the synopsis front, I finished it and sent it to my agent for her thoughts. I love the concept, but I'm not sure if the synopsis really reflects what's in my head. But that is why I have an agent :-) She's honest and I really appreciate that.

In other news, I think JR Ward may be ruining me for other paranormal books. I read one that just didn't interest me much at all. The character had sex with everyone because she's part wolf. YAWN. The sex wasn't even interesting to me. I blame this on JR WARD. I've fall hard for the brotherhood!

What about you? Have you read books you loved so much, the next few books just couldn't live up to the experience?

Random Stuff

I'm working on a synopsis. I've changed it five times. FIVE FREAKING TIMES. I swear I could have written WAR AND PEACE by now. Sigh...

I'm going to appear at LITERARY ORANGE on April 21st. It's a full day conference with several authors in panel discussions, lunch and book signings at the Hyatt Regency in Orange County. If you'd like more info, go here.

Okay I read LOVER REVEALED by JR Ward. Like all her Brotherhood books, I had to stop my life to read it. And I am her biggest fan. However, this book just didn't have the same magic as the other books. I loved some elements, I'm still love the brotherhood, but something was just missing for me. Anyone else read it? What do you think?

I am waiting for the next book! I rarely follow series like this from book one. I'm ALWAYS late to the game.

Okay back to boring myself with my Rinse and Repeat Synopsis Action. Ugh.

Separating the Professionals from the Weenies.

People like Jill Shalvis blog everyday like a professional. I love her blog! It's where I got to get my morning smile.

Sigh...I'm a weenie. I don't blog every day. I want to blog several times a week and I think about it, like say when I'm walking or at the gym or grocery store. I get a great idea, but when I go online, I forget.

See? I'm a weenie.

What about you? Are you a professional blogger or a weenie?

By the way, I'm reading Karen Rose's COUNT TO TEN. I'm half way through it--great books so far? What are you reading?

Wow, two questions today--is that like a two-in-one blog?

But I have to know (assuming this link works right) what do you think of these guys--sexy, stupid or gay?

Okay a partial list of things that bug me...
